Обзор инструкция ADB RUN

В чем заключается суть программы ADB RUN? В чем так сказать плюсы, от обычного использования adb в командной строке?

Программа ADB RUN имеет псведо-графический интерфейс, куда забито множество различных команд, разбитых на категории, которые вы используете каждый день.

В этой программе гораздо быстрей и проще перезагрузить Android, а после прошить телефон в fastboot, сделать скриншот, выполнить бекап, выполнить сброс графического ключа.

Привыкли использовать командную строку? Одно нажатие и вы переключаетесь с ADB RUN в командную строку или adb shell, а можно вообще написать свой скрипт для автоматизации действий и скормить программе.

Update ADB and Drivers

How to Install ADB Drivers of Android device:

Step 1. Make sure you have USB debugging enabled in your Android device. For this:

1. Go to Settings > About phone, and then tap ‘Build number’ 7 times.
2. Go back to Settings, then choose ‘Developer options’.
3. Find the ‘USB debugging’ / ‘ADB Debugging’ option and use its toggle button to enable it. Accept warning by tapping on OK button.

Step 2. Connect your device to your PC/Laptop using a properly functional USB cable. Now launch the downloaded ADB file.

Step 3. Select your device from the list & click on Install. This process might take 2-3 mins to complete.

Step 4. Once the process is completed, you’ll see something similar to this:

• переход в режим Fastboot для управления командами;
• прошивка через режим Sideload;
• перемещение файлов внутри накопителя и с компьютера на телефон;
• разблокировка загрузчика и функционала для разработчиков;
• получение root-доступа;
• сброс паролей и PIN-кодов;
• сброс до заводских настроек;
• управление памятью;
• создание скриншотов и записей видео с экрана устройства;

How does ADB Work?

Because there are three pieces that makeup ADB (the Client, Daemon, and the Server), this requires certain pieces to be up and running in the first place. So if you have freshly booted the computer (and you don’t have it setup to start the daemon on boot), then you will need it to be running before any communication can be sent to the target Android device. You’ll see this the following message in the command prompt or terminal, as it will check to make sure the daemon is running.

If the daemon isn’t running, then it will start the process and tell you which local TCP port it has been started on. Once that ADB service has been started, it will continue to listen to that specific port for commands that have been sent by the ADB client. It will then set up connections to all running devices which are attached to the computer (including emulators). This is the moment where you’ll receive the authorization request on the Android device if the computer hasn’t been authorized in the past.

Install an OTA Update with ADB Sideload

To install an OTA update on your Android device, follow the steps provided below carefully.

1. from the link mentioned above.
2. Extract those drivers using an Archive Manager (7Zip Preferred).
3. Open Command Prompt in the driver folder by right-clicking on the screen while holding down the Shift key. Select Open Command Prompt here.
4. Download the OTA update file on your computer. Move it to the ADB Drivers folder.
5. Connect your device to the computer using a USB cable.
6. Type in to check if your device is connected or not.
7. Enter to restart your device in the recovery mode.
8. On your smartphone, select Apply Update from ADB using the volume keys.
9. On your computer, type in to sideload the update. (Replace the name of the file)
10. The installation process will start automatically.

The OTA update will now be installed on your android smartphone.

Sideload a Mod Zip File with ADB

Now that you have downloaded the ADB drivers, it is time to get practical. The most basic use of ADB Sideload is to install a Mod ZIP file on your smartphone. To do so, follow the guide given below.

1. from the link mentioned above.
2. Extract those drivers using an Archive Manager (7Zip Preferred).
3. Open Command Prompt in the driver folder. You can do this by right-clicking on the screen while holding down the Shift key. Select Open Command Prompt here.
4. Connect your Android device to your computer using a USB Cable.
5. Enter the command .
6. Type in to check the status of your device. If it shows up on the screen, you’re good to go.
7. Enter to boot your smartphone in recovery mode.
8. If you are using stock Android, you’ll be presented with the basic Recovery Menu.
9. Using the Volume buttons, select Apply Update from ADB.
10. On your computer, type in . Replace filename.zip with the name of the ZIP that you are sideloading.
11. The installation process will start automatically. Wait for it to finish.

The ZIP file will be installed on your smartphone.

Android SDK Platform Tools

The following is a list of utilities included as part of the Android SDK Platform Tools. These tools are updated with every new Android version (currently at Android 10) to support new features and APIs. Sometimes, they include smaller updates to improve the tools and fix known bugs.

NOTE: Each update to these tools is backward compatible with older Android platform versions, so always get the latest one.

• adb: Android Debug Bridge (adb) is a versatile tool that lets you manage an Android hardware device i.e. phone, tablet, watch etc. or an emulator instance. You can also use it to manage, backup or to install an APK on a device.
• etc1tool: A command line utility that lets you encode PNG images to the ETC1 compression standard and decode ETC1 compressed images back to PNG.
• fastboot: This utility helps you flash a device with platform and other system images. You can also install root images or firmware updates when the device is in Fastboot Mode.
• logcat: This is a tool invoked via adb to view app and system logs. If you are stuck with an app development bug, logcat will help you narrow it down.

Requirements

Users should keep the following prerequisites in their mind. If the following conditions are not met, the sideloading process can be disturbed which in turn, can leave your device in Bootloop.

ADB Sideload

As mentioned above, ADB Sideload is a command-line utility that allows users to sideload custom ROMs and ZIPs on their Android devices. It is a part of the ADB driver (Android Debug Bridge) that acts as a medium for transferring data from a PC to a smartphone.

ADB acts as a bridge between your smartphone and computer and allows the transmission of data such as ROMs and Mods to the android device.

After the JellyBean update, a new command known as ADB Sideload was added which made the whole sideloading process faster and easier.

Before using the ADB commands to sideload ZIPs on your device, there are some requirements that should be met.

Installation Instructions

I will explain the individual steps for Windows, Mac, and Linux. Based on your machine, choose the appropriate steps.

Pre-Requirement Steps

Enable USB Debugging Mode and OEM Unlock on your mobile. To do this; go to settings >>> about >>> Tap on the “Build Number” 7-10 times consistently to enable “Developer Options,” then go to the “Developer Options” and enable USB Debugging Mode, OEM Unlock. After this process, connect your mobile with PC/Laptop. Unlock the screen unlock.

Install Minimal ADB in Windows

Download and extract the files. Select the adb setup file and run this as Administrator.

After the Run as select, It will Pop up with the usual Installation Window like other software. Select Next.

In the Next step, It will ask where you want to install the files. Select Local Disk C or Where you installed your OS. When we install the data in the OS directory, there will be no permission issues.

After the successful installation, the adb and fastboot command prompt window will open with the installed directory path.

fastboot commands can only check on your mobile fastboot mode. We want to check the drivers are correctly installed or not. We can use ADB Commands for that.

When the first command check, It wants to create local hots, So, It will ask for the Internet permission, If you use Protection programs. Allow permission.

Type the command “adb devices.” You should get the list of attached devices. If you get “Unauthorized,” allow USB debugging permission on your mobile.

Install ADB on Mac OS

Download the driver from the above download links and extract the files.

Open terminal and type the following command.

cd /path/to/extracted/folder/ (Example: cd /Users/Selva/Desktop/platform-tools/)

Type the command “adb devices.” You should get the list of attached devices. If you get “Unauthorized,” allow USB debugging permission on your mobile.

ADB on Linux

Download the driver from the above download links and extract the files.

All ADB Commands

There are various things you can do with ADB; this tool supports a lot of commands to trigger most functions. Most of them deal with the recovery mode. I try to cover some essential commands.

Note: you must activate “Developer Options” on the device and turn on “USB Debugging” on the Android device before running ADB commands.

Commands List

When you want to execute these commands on the terminal, Add adb before every command. Example- reboot> adb reboot.

Launching ADB requires you know about CMD – Command Prompt. This is because you need to start CMD and use commands to access the folder where you extracted the Platform Tools and launch adb.exe.

All Fastboot commands

Fastboot installs alongside ADB when you extract the ZIP file. Fastboot allows you to run commands on and Android device that is in bootloader mode. There are, however, other ways to use an Android device in bootloader mode, but using Fastboot is the best option. Also, it is possible to unlock an Android device bootloader using Fastboot to install a custom system file.

However, before Fastboot commands can work on an Android device, you must activate “Developer Options” on the device and turn on “USB Debugging.” Fastboot commands will work only in your mobile fastboot mode. The key combinations to boot your mobile into fastboot may vary depending on the manufacturers.

Commands list
